How to Store Edible Images
The key to storing edible images is to keep them sealed in an airtight bag until you’re ready to use them. They should be kept at room temperature—never store them in the fridge. It’s also important to note that edible images are sensitive to water.
Make sure the images don’t come into contact with water before or after being applied to your baked goods, as this can cause the icing sheet to melt and ruin the design. If the images get wet before you’re able to remove them from the backing sheet, it will be impossible to lift them off without damaging them. Always keep your edible image flat, and avoid placing anything on top of it.
To protect the colors, keep the images out of direct sunlight. While edible images can last for several months, we recommend using them within two weeks for the sharpest and most vibrant results.
